San Angelo

As it normally happens, we went out to dinner on our last night here at Pipe Creek.  China Bowl had excellent reviews so on we went to Bandera to try it out.  Why do we find the best restaurants on our last night?  This was one of the best Chinese food places we have ever eaten at!  Come on!  In Bandera?  Oh my goodness!

Road Hog had his go-to meal which was pork egg fu young, with fried rice.  I had sesame chicken, plus an order of chicken fried rice to go, for my dinner tonight.  Man!  Excellent food!  If you are ever in Bandera, visit the China Bowl.  Tell them Road Hog sent you!  😂

This morning we packed up and got on the road by 9:45 am.  It would have been 8:45 but the government had to step in and change the time.

Tully is packed up and ready to go!  The two kitties are in their carrier on the back seat.  They didn't realize today was traveling day....we try and keep it from them until the last minute.  They don't get as stress out that way....

We passed these guys at the Bandera Museum.  We didn't have time to stop and chat.

I'm going to miss hill country!  I love this area!

Going through Kerrville.  A sign at the state hospital.

Road Hog mentioned something about the truck having 8,865 pulling miles.  We bought the truck up in Anacortes back last August, so since then we have put over 8000 miles on it with the trailer.  This isn't counting the daily drive miles that we do with the truck.

Up ahead, coming in to some flat country!

This guy passed us.  Do you remember how in Charlie Brown had a friend named Pig Pen?  This caddy drove by with a haze all around it like Pig Pen had in the cartoon.  It was pretty dusty!

Finally!  After 3 1/2 hours, we arrived at San Angelo, KOA.  Beautiful camp ground!  It wasn't all that full, but now this evening, it is getting packed.

What is little Tully thinking about?  Her momma?  Gene?  Bones?  One never knows....

Here is our set up.  We are here until Wednesday, then off to Odessa to see my Aunt Jackie, and my sister, and my cousins will also be there!  Exciting times!

We took Tully over to the dog park for her walk.  Our fifth wheel is back there, in the middle.  It turned out to be a 75 degree day, and lots of wind.
