All About Our Animals

Well, here we are.  We are still in Gallup, NM, staying at a camp called USA RV Park.  It is nice!  Plus, we have blue sky!  We were pretty full last night, then people started leaving this morning.  Now, at 2 pm, people are filling up the camp again.  We are leaving tomorrow morning, on to Tuba City, Arizona.  We will be there the whole weekend, and leave Monday.

Here is Ethel Louise.  She is enjoying the non-traveling day.  And the sun.  She loves the sun.  And being under her blankets.  And as you can see, traveling doesn't ruin her appetite.  And she thinks that when you have to move the clocks one hour ahead or one hour behind, it's an extra meal.

Tully won't be able to tell you when she eats.  All she knows is that her mom is kind of confused of the time difference, so Tully just goes with the flow.  Sitting and staring at her mom gives her mom a hint that it is time to eat.  Or walk.  Or snack.  Her mom will get it right....eventually.

Then there is pretty eyed Lucy.  She sleeps anywhere anytime.  Her face and whole body is slender, compared to her sister Ethel Louise.  She thinks the reason Ethel Louise has two names is because Ethel is so big.

On to Aunt Jackies in Odessa.  We saw this dog going up and down the street in Aunt Jackies housing development.  It was pretty obvious that the poor thing was lost.  Aunt Jackie and I took off, while at the same time her crew was there at the house mowing her yards and cleaning up.

When we got home, and went out back to set up some watering for the yard, someone made it to the back yard when the gate was open.  She was sleeping in the sun.  We eventually made friends, gave her some hot dogs and lots of water.  Poor thing.  It was very skinny, and so thirsty.  My Aunt didn't want a dog, so the next morning she called the animal control and they came to pick her up.  (Not my Aunt, but the dog.). The dog had a chip in her and she went back to her family.  We aren't sure just how long the dog had been gone, or even how it left its family.  I  hope she is in a good home.  Do I worry?  Of course.  How could you not?  Did we make the right choice of calling and sending her back to her family?  We can only hope.
