Zion National Park

We had company yesterday.  I saw a lady sitting outside with her pup while her son worked on their older class c.  I walked over there and invited her and her pup over to our house to get warm.  This is Sandy and Tibby.  (Tibby is the pup.). Tibby is also a chihuahua, same age as Tully.  Sandy is on a little trip with her son, supposed to be gone 4 weeks, and it has been 2 months already.  She lives near the coast in Oregon and is ready to go home.  She is 80!  She did not look it at all!  I had met her a couple of days ago so I was comfortable in inviting her over.  We had a great talk!  She has lots of wisdom!  I noticed that they took off this morning so I am hoping she is on her way home.

Today we took a drive to Zion National Park.  Most of what we could say was WOW!  The canyon was spectacular!!  And we had such a nice day for doing the tourist thing!

One of the tunnels that we had to go through cost us $15.  I guess they considered us in an oversized vehicle, which means that they have to stop traffic both ways so when we travel through the tunnel, we are driving down the middle of the road.  How great was that?  We also bought a natural park pass for all of the states, good for a year.

This video is the last few moments in the tunnel, then coming out the other end.  So beautiful!

We got out a couple of times to take photos.  There were quite a few people, but most of them were parking and then hiking the trails.  Some were stupid enough to stand in the road taking pictures.

Every where we looked, there was a different photo.

There were a couple of places for camping, after coming out of the canyon.  Mostly tents.  There were a lot of places to stop and shop, or stop and eat, but we didn't even bother.  We had a backpack of goodies for us, and bones for Tully.

Once we got home, it took hours to down load my photos to iCloud.  We didn't have internet a lot of the time we were in the canyon, so once we got home and connected to our winegard, the download started.  I guess I should have not taken so many pictures!

I'm not too sure what, if anything, we are doing tomorrow.

Our windows outside need cleaning!  Maybe that is what we can do before taking a trip over to Bryce Canyon National Park.

When we got home and relaxed for a while, we went to turn on the kitchen faucet, and had no water!  No hot or cold.  The sink in the bathroom worked fine....

While we worked on the faucet, Tully and Ethel Louise were catching some rays.

After some investigating, we found that the sprayer nozzle needed to be taken a part and the little stupid plastic thingybob taken out.  I think it had to do with the water flow.  (Its in the garbage now.)  Road Hog put it back together and we now have water in the kitchen sink.  I am so glad because I was afraid Road Hog would have to do the dishes in the shower!  😄
