Oacoma, South Dakota (oh-a-coma!)

 

We got on the road this morning a bit before 9:30.  It looks like we have some smokey haze out there!  Traffic was not bad.  Hardly any at all. But, and this is a huge BUT, we are now on central time! Our clocks are now another hour ahead. Oh my gosh! Eww!  What time is Tullys dinner?  When is her walky walk?

Here is our great spot.  What a gorgeous camp ground!  Our view is of the Missouri River.  It was 84 degrees when we got set up.  The breeze off the river though is nice!  We are camped at Arrorwood Resort at Cedar Shore.

After getting set up, we went to Al’s for dinner.  Supposedly they had good food.

I had a chicken burger with half of a chicken breast.  I have had better. The fries were good!

Road Hog had a bison burger with bacon, and waffle fries. He said it was pretty good. 

You are probably wondering who is Al?

Meet Al.  He was standing at the entrance to one of the stores next to the restaurant.  He is huge! And so pretty!  But then, when we were walking around the store, I felt so many eyes following me!

Well, we walked by this guy…then we looked up….

And saw so much more.

Kind of crazy when you’re trying to shop for groceries!

And then when we were leaving, this guy was next to the freeway.  I have yet to see a live one! 

We got home and took Tully out for her walky walk.  Our home is the last one near that post way down there.  There are also cabins to rent if one so desires.  Beautiful place here and not a whole lot of campers.  Oh darn!

Road Hog has an appointment in the morning.  One of our tires is losing air.  We have had ford look at it and fix the stem in case that was the problem, but it wasn’t so the tire needs further investigating.  Stay tuned.
