Welcome to Alabama!

We are now in Anniston, Alabama!  But let me back up a day…

The shop came over for our home at 10:30 yesterday morning.  We had the cats in their carriers, in the truck, along with Tully and a pack back with water and snacks.  Jeremy, the guy working on our home, gets off from work at 2:30, and he was hoping to be done before leaving.  If he wasn’t done, we would have to stay in our trailer, inside the shop.

We went driving through the national park in Tishomingo, and through some little towns to kill time.
We then went back to the shop to see how Jeremy was doing.  Road Hog took a couple of photos.

Jeremy was doing pretty good!  And so was our home!  In fact, it was 1:30 when Jeremy moved our home back to the hookups!  We were able to have a relaxing dinner!

And we were able to use our full kitchen!  What a huge relief!  So then we planned our trip…on to North Carolina!

We left before 9 this morning, with a 3 1/2 hour trip in front of us.  I was busy with the GPS when we went over the state line into Alabama, so I missed the welcome sign.  In fact, Alabama didn’t have a welcome sign…just a sign saying state line. 😂  (I got your welcome right here buddy!😂).

It got pretty hairy in Birmingham.  So many 18 wheelers on the road.  And being the co-pilot, not being used to these freeways, I tell ya….I could have used a beer.  And I don’t even like beer!

Look what’s in town!  I’m not sure if we can visit.  We are only here until Thursday, and we need to visit Camping World to get more pads for under our stabilizers. Plus, do a little grocery shopping.

These are all new states for me and I’m not yet too sure about Alabama.  I’ll know more tomorrow when we are out and about.

We are parked at a Camping World.  It’s good Sam, and it’s called Campground of Oxford.   It’s a big park, lots of northern and southern exposure for our tv and internet.  75 degrees, low of 45 tonight.  Whoohoo!

Here is Tully relaxing after her road trip.  Her butt was up in the air with her tail wagging.

Lucy didn’t sleep at all on todays ride so she was pooped!  Ethel Louise disappeared after her little big snack so no photo of her.

The park isn’t all that full.  There we are in the middle of the three.

More updates to follow!
