We made it to Mississippi! We got on the road about 10:15, and what a nice day for a drive!

Before leaving Alabama, here we are on the side of the freeway. No worries….just a much needed pee break. Have I mentioned how nice it is to use our own bathroom?! What is even nicer is that we don’t have to open any slides in order to use it.

We were told when we pulled in to pick a spot, get settled, and the owner will come around for payment.
For 50 amp service, water and sewer, you just can’t beat $33 a night.
Look what I found! Finally a store that sells achiote!
And we just happened to have some chicken wings to barbecue.
These were the best wings ever! Road Hog also barbecued a sweet potato for a side. Achiote adds an earthy, peppery flavor, but it isn’t spicy hot. With the wings in the zip lock bag, I added about 1/2 bag of the achiote powder and mixed it altogether. I then let it sit in the fridge for about an hour before they went on the barbecue.
It’s a pretty big park, and campers come in and park in the afternoon, then leave the next day. Plenty of room for everyone. Road Hog put the starlink on the roof, next to the dish satellite, and we are set until Monday. We are on our way to Texas!!
