Welcome to California! This is from last Friday, leaving Nevada.
We had to stop for inspection, and the guy asked us if we had any produce, I said no and the guy gives me a thumbs up and says ‘right answer’! He then waves us through.
Here was our setup at Likely RV Park. Beautiful views!
And just in case you didn’t see our view, here it is magnified! Everywhere you look, you have a view.
This was our morning view. The days were warm until last night.
This guy was singing all morning. Right outside our home.
It was pretty warm on Saturday. Ethel has so many places to lay and get comfortable. We had the ceiling fan going and she is under it.
Then on Sunday she found a place in the sun. She is almost as big as the step! 😂
Coming in to the camp, we have to go through a field with cows.
Momma was beside the road with her baby. Momma didn’t mind the truck but baby did.
We had to stop and talk to them. So cute!
We had to hook up this morning and get on the road. If you click on the photo, you can see a motor home parked, with a white trailer. Who is that? Clarke and Elaine! We wanted to meet them last year when we were here but it didn’t pan out. I have read Clark’s blog for about 4 years. He stopped by Sunday and we finally got to meet him!
Then on Monday, both him and Elaine came over for a barbecue, and talk about a blast! It felt as if we had known this couple for years! Clarke and Elaine are now our friends for life! They’ve been full timing so much longer than we have, and oh man, the stories that they have! If you want to read up on his blog, I have a link to it on my page called ‘Our Newell Adventure’. The photo credit above goes to Clarke. Hopefully we will be meeting up later to go camping. They are working here at the golf course for the summer, (it seems that they are always working,) but we will catch up with them again soon! Take a look at his blog and see their awesome Newell!
We were up by 6 and by 6:30 it was snowing! It didn’t last long at the camp, but when we got on the road, it was still snowing in the town of Alturas.
So we had a little bit of rain and snow and I think it was because we had just washed the RV.
We only had the snow in California.
Soon the weather cleared up and it became such a nice drive. Mind you, it was chilly, but at least it wasn’t freezing.
Welcome to Oregon! Klamath Falls isn’t that far from the state line, and we were parked by 12:30. We are staying at Klamath Falls KOA Journey. Nice park and our patio is fenced with chairs and a picnic table.
After putting out the slides, I immediately turned on the heat pump and the fireplace to get our home cozy warm.
We are here until Friday, so a short stay. Then on to Redmond, OR to see some kids!!
